To reach San Martin de los Andes, the easiest way is to do in Bariloche, heading north about four hours. It is a mountainous city founded in 1898, located at the eastern end of Lake Lacar meandering freshwater reserve that will give the border with Chile. The town is fast emerging thanks sanmartinense mountain tourism and the town has a ski resort.
